## About

Tankyu Distillery (丹丘蒸留所) is a publicly-built, privately-operated craft distillery located in [Higashikawa](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Higashikawa,_Hokkaido), Hokkaido — the only Hokkaido town without a municipal water supply. We produce single-malt whisky and artisan gin using Daisetsuzan spring water (~94 mg/L hardness) and local ingredients. Founded 2020 under a rare public–private partnership with Higashikawa Town.
